"It's the colours"

For many years I was widely known for my use of Japanese Taupe fabrics, with their
subtle, muted colours.

 This was to be my Monkey Buttons Signature Style

At quilt shows I often heard people say "It's the colours" referring to my use of colour. This then became the title of my ever changing talk.

In 2019 life changed, with the arrival of our first Grandchildren and I became inspired to use brighter fabrics in my quilt making.
So then I started making some of my quilt patterns in brights as well as taupes
for comparison.

Making organised scrap quilts has always been my strongest passion which I hope you
will enjoy alongside me.

I launched Monkey Buttons Patterns in 2004 and exhibited at shows and visited many Quilt & Embroidery groups, giving talks & workshops around the UK until 2025 when I retired from public life. I designed over 160 patterns over 21 years, but here I showcase 50 of my most popular patterns.
