Feathers have such grace & variation in their appearance, that I love picking up or photographing them when out walking, on the beach or in the fields.
I found a washed up feather on a sunny day and the shadows it cast made a strong image, so I was inspired to translate that into an applique design.
I have made four different feather panels using a selection of taupe fabrics and created them with bonded appliqué.
Each panel with borders measures 18” square approx.
Ideal for cushions but would work well used in a wall hanging or quilt.
