My inspiration for this piece came from a Royal Bank of Scotland Five pound note which I’ve had taped up in my work room for some time – too pretty to spend !
These three mackerel are surrounded by a swirling wavy border on this cushion, however I think the border could easily be used for many different centres. The technique I use is bonded applique and machine button hole.
The background is free motion quilted with “bubbles”
