Paintbox Quilt

This is a fabulous quilt design that reminds me of blocks of colour in a paintbox.

The design consists of two Interlocking blocks - A star and an on-point square.

By using the same background fabric in both blocks (white) they appear to merge.

The jewel bright quilt is a scrap quilt with a little organisation. 

 The star block centres are ideal for using interesting/large scale focal prints.

The Jewel bright quilt is finished at 48” x 64” but you can easily increase the size of the quilt by adding more blocks or borders.

The blocks are 8” finished size 

The second quilt is made of muted colour fabrics. This quilt will be known as the Watercolour quilt.

It uses just four main fabrics. I’ve used a large print for the star centres and outer border. All the fabrics were chosen to compliment this print.

This Watercolour quilt finishes at 52” square
